Tourist, Visiting Family/Friends Visa – Norway

Hassle-free visa processing for your travel needs.

Overview

This visa category is intended for short-stay travel to Norway for the purpose of tourism (leisure, sightseeing, or recreation) or for visiting family and friends legally residing in Norway. All applicants, including children and infants, must submit their application in person by appointment. Appointments must be scheduled online in advance. Applications must be complete and submitted with all necessary documentation.

Eligibility

To apply for a Norway Tourist or Visitor Family/Friends Visa, the applicant must:

  • Hold a valid passport or travel document.
  • Hold valid UK Residency.
  • Apply for a short-stay visa for either tourism or family/friend visitation.
This category includes minors travelling with or without guardians (with required consent and documentation).

Processing Time

  • Applications may be submitted up to 6 months before intended travel.
  • It is strongly recommended to apply at least 4 weeks prior to departure.
  • Minimum processing time is 15 calendar days from the date the application is received by the Embassy in London.
  • Allow an additional 3 working days if applying from Manchester or Edinburgh due to document transit.
  • Submitting an application with fewer than 15 days before travel, without a valid emergency, risks rejection.
  • Peak seasons such as Easter, July–August, and Christmas may result in limited appointment slots and longer processing.
  • The Embassy may request additional documents or schedule an interview, which may cause further delays.

Your Visa, Our Priority – With our express appointment scheduling and expert guidance, your visa process is handled with ease.
